The Tax Office is responsible for the billing and collection of both taxes and local sewer charges in the Borough of Somerdale.
You can now pay your tax and local sewer bills online. Please note that if you are using the Bill Pay feature with your banking online, please allow 7-10 days for your payment to reach us. If you payment reaches the Borough after the grace period ends, you will owe interest.
Property tax bills are mailed out once a year, approximately in July or August, and are for four (4) quarters of payments. Taxes are due February 1st, May 1st, August 1st and November 1st. There is a10 day grace period to pay after the due date without interest. If the 10th falls on a weekend or borough holiday, you have until the next business day to pay before interest begins. After the 10th, interest is calculated from the first day of the month. Interest accrues daily and is 8% for the first $1,500 and 18% for all amounts over that.
Sewer bills are mailed to property owners annually in January. Sewer payments are due March 1st, June 1st, September 1st, and December 1st. The 10 day grace period applies to sewer bills as well. Interest will begin to accrue after the 10th.
Please note that you will receive two sewer bills in January. One will be for your local sewer from the Borough, and the second will be from Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority (CCMUA). The Borough of Somerdale does not accept payments on behalf of the CCMUA, nor do we have knowledge of your account. For more information about your CCMUA account, please visit www.ccmua.org.
