There are several convenient options to dispute payable Traffic Tickets online, by mail, and via court. Please see the options and details below:

Online: No need to appear in court, dispute your payable Traffic Ticket from the comfort of your own home. To dispute your Payable Traffic Ticket online click on this link: www.njmcdirect.com. You will receive an email from the prosecutor with a proposed plea agreement. You must respond with in 5 days or your option to dispute your payable Traffic Ticket online will expire. When completed an email will be sent to you containing payment information.

By Mail: No need to appear in court, dispute your payable Traffic Ticket from the comfort of your own home. To dispute your Payable Traffic Ticket through the mail, click here and complete the form, email it to Jackie.vicari1@nicourts.gov or tikia.hodges@nicourts.gov. The completed form along with your tickets will go before the prosecutor and judge on our next court date.

If you are eligible for a ZOOM court session, your ZOOM information will be sent via email the Monday before court.

Municipal Court accepts the following credit cards: Debit, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover. We also accept cash or money orders.


BAIL
Any court officer or police station in the State of New Jersey may take in bail for your Municipal Warrant. We accept cash for bail.

After posting bail, it is the defendant’s responsibility to phone the court office that their warrant originated and find out when their court date is scheduled.

If you move, and you are involved in a case in Somerdale, Laurel Springs, Pine Hill or Haddonfield Courts, it is your responsibility to update your address with the court office.

SUBPOENAS & WARRANTS
SUBPOENAS
A subpoena is a court order that requires a person to appear in court to give testimony or to present documents and related articles to be produced as evidence at a hearing. The Municipal Prosecutor may also ask a witness to appear voluntarily without serving a subpoena.
If you have received a subpoena, you must appear on the date listed. Failing to follow a subpoena is considered contempt of court.

WARRANTS
If you fail to appear on your court date or comply with the court’s orders, the municipal court judge may issue a warrant for your arrest or suspend your driver’s license.

PREPARING FOR COURT
WHAT TO BRING TO COURT

  • Proper identification (driver’s license, New Jersey ID, passport)
  • Your copy of the citation
  • Appearance letter and/or court documents
  • Any receipts regarding your case (i.e., bond receipts, cash bail receipts, etc.)
  • Any documents which prove compliance with the judge’s orders and/or sentencing
  • Method of payment (money, credit card, checkbook, debit card)
  • Do not use nicknames or an alias. Use the same spelling as listed on documents related to the case and ensure spelling on the documents is correct. If they are not, please advise the court
  • Provide the court with your current address
  • Appropriate dress is required. Shirt and shoes are required

If you are being represented by an attorney you must contact them for the information regarding your trial.

WHEN ARE MY FINES DUE?
DUE DATE
Fines are due in full on the day of sentencing.

TYPES OF PAYMENT
We accept cash, check, money orders, cashier’s checks, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. We are unable to take payments over the phone. If you need help with the pay online process, please call the court office.

Payments must be received on or before the due date.
